I promised all you all this post, and I have finally got round to photographing the beautiful gifts I was lucky enough to receive for my birthday! I’m so grateful for everything I was given, and was literally squealing all the way through taking these photos because SO. MUCH. PRETTY.
My parents spoilt me rotten and went all out, I think my heart skipped a beat when I saw the iconic Tiffany’s jewellery box. I kind of felt like I was in a Blair Waldorf-esque dream. I’ve never owned any expensive jewellery (apart from my beloved Fossil watch) and I will treasure this gorgeous bracelet forever. I also received a personalised book with pictures and interesting facts about my birth date and year, a beautiful Pride & Prejudice colouring book(!!!) and the beautiful Ted Baker scarf pictured in the last photo. I pointed this out to my mother months ago and she remembered how much I wanted it; what a hero!
An Aileen McColl birthday wouldn’t be complete without a handbag; anyone who knows me will know the addiction is real. I got a gorgeous blue Fiorelli handbag, with a contrasting burgundy shoulder strap. Fiorelli are one of my favourite handbag retailers, they’re a little more expensive than the high street, but the quality you get for your money is unreal. The rose gold ‘A’ tag is also from my favourite, Ted Baker, and was a gift from my little sister. She also bought me the cutest little Pandora ring, and a Kylie Jenner liquid lipstick from her travels in America. The cute wee retro radio you see up there was a gift from my Auntie & Uncle, they also got me the pastel pink Ted Baker make up bag and wash bag; they know me so well!
My work pals got me a lovely bottle of champagne (I’m not really drinking anymore, but am making an allowance for this special occasion and thoughtful gift). They also gave me a card from everyone with a tonne of lovely messages. One of my favourite things about birthdays is getting cards, and the fact that someone took the time to write down something nice for you in an age where they could all just write ‘happy birthday’ on your Facebook wall instead. I love handwritten cards, and lucky for me I got looooads!
My boyfriend smashed it out of the park with a load of wonderful and thoughtful gifts, including a gorgeous mint green notebook (favourite colour, wish everything was mint green), a Bluetooth keyboard for my iPad, which will be perfect for taking notes at university! And also a personalised cushion, with a photograph of my gorgeous wee dog on it! You can see that over on my Instagram! Him and his family also got me enough chocolate to last me about ten years, so I’m a very happy bunny.
Thank you so much for reading! Hope you enjoyed this post!
